The Writers View

The first movie of Hot Tub Time Machine was raunchy, really funny, had the four leads that you get devoted into, and narrates an interesting story. The ending of it, left with wanting more, so I had this idea that the sequel would be even better or at least the same. When John Cusack was not in the movie, the excitement goes down and then finally seeing the trailer, and proving me right, but still giving the benefit of the doubt. The film invented that there was a plot, but it was a justification of gross out jokes. Adam Scott is also funny in some scenes being the son of Cusack, but he still appears out of place. Rob Corddry is a bit awful with the wrong jokes; his craziness was felt by the writers. He can be an effective comedian if provided with the perfect blend of jokes. Clark Duke and Craig Robinson are totally boring.
