A more vulgar theme of comedy is somewhat the current trend of this genre. Several years ago, comedy movies are often rated for general audiences or PG 13. Today with some vulgarity in concept and scenes, some films of this genus are rated for adult and matured audience. The We’re the Millers movie is a good example of this kind and is currently being appreciated positively by the viewing masses.
The movie received a good start at its opening weekend, they hit the sales meter to 26 Million. The Miller’s was played by Jennifer Aniston as Rose O’Reilly, Jason Sudeikis as David Clark, Will Poulter as Kenny Rossmore and Emma Roberts as Casey Mathis. These unbalance combinations make the movie very interesting and funny. We cannot expect less from the veteran actress Aniston which her popularity really tag along with the movie and made it a looked-for movie of the year. She is perfect for the role and really a comic in her performance. Jason Sudeikis corresponds to the performance of Anniston and their matchup made the movie a salty adult comedy. Playing the masquerade children are Will and Kenny which is known for their performance in their previous films. The two youngsters complete the Miller and spice up the adventure of the make believe family.
The plot centers on the deal made by David from a big time drug lord which is to carry a smidgen of marijuana across the border of Mexico to the US but the deal turns out not to be easy as a checkpoint and other hazard needs to be cleared especially when the amount of weeds are more than a man can carry. Here is where the three main characters are drug in as David create a fake family of his own to accompany him in transporting the weeds.
The movie is not all good feedback. Still it has low points that are clearly seen in the movie. First the movie do not have jokes and humor that is solid and strong, those kind of laughs that stick to the minds of the viewers. Second, although all stars are good in their performance, it seems Anniston is the leading personality in this film. She outshines everyone and does living them as secondary characters.
The film is an entertaining movie release in 2013. It may not be the best of comedy movies but it can really put a smile on your face.
